Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Bewdley river gauge because of recent heavy rainfall.
Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected. As previously communicated, the Barriers at Beales Corner will not be deployed due to the construction of the Flood Risk Management Scheme.
Predicted peak: Bewdley 4.1m to 4.3m on Wednesday afternoon, 27/11/2024.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 6pm on Wednesday 27/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
