River levels are rising rapidly on the River Sheaf and Porter brook due to persistent rainfall.
This morning, 20th October 2023, flooding may affect Granville Square to Commercial Street including Sheaf Street, Pond Street, Pond Hill, Fornham Street, Turner Street, Cross Turner Street, Matilda Street, Mortimer Street, Leadmill Road, Suffolk Road, Leadmill Street, and Suffolk Road.
Rainfall is expected throughout today, and river levels are expected to remain high.
Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
