Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Shipston river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall overnight.
Consequently, the risk of flooding remains but is reducing. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in the Mitford Bridge in Shipston on Stour and Tredington areas including Burmington, Tidmington, Barcheston, Brailes Road Industrial Estate and Church Street and Mill Street.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels are falling but still pose a flood risk.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast and clearing weed screens.
Please call 999 if in immediate danger and avoid contact with flood water.
