Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen on the River Tees at Low Dinsdale as a result of persistent heavy rainfall caused by Storm Ciara. Property flooding is expected between 13:00 and 17:00 today, 09/02/2020. Areas most at risk are properties at Spa Wells and Old Fishlocks at Low Dinsdale. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
Rainfall is forecast to clear from lunchtime today, 09/02/2020. We expect river levels on the River Tees to continue to respond into this afternoon in response to the heavy rainfall and remain high for the rest of the day. We are closely monitoring the situation.
