Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Bransford river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible between today Friday 18/10/24. We expect flooding to affect roads in Powick area including the A449 at Powick.
Further rainfall is forecast later this afternoon. We expect river levels to rise until over the next few hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 17:00 on Friday 18/10/24, or as the situation changes.
