Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Tenbury river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property,roads and farmland is expected today, 17/10/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads at Tenbury Wells and Burford including the A4112 Market Street and Teme Street in Tenbury Wells. The B4204 in Tenbury Wells. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation, and will update this warning if the situation escalates. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 5pm on 17/10/24, or as the situation changes.
