Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but currently falling on the River Thames as a result of recent rainfall and water moving downstream. Flooding of property and roads is expected this evening and overnight, 06/01/24, especially in the Church Road and Sandford areas near Oxford. Tonight and tomorrow are forecast to be mainly dry. River levels are expected to continue gradually falling over the coming days, but will remain high as water moves downstream. We are monitoring the situation. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 07/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
