Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are falling but remain high following recent rainfall in the catchment. Flooding remains possible on 20 February 2026. Areas most at risk are around the River Tove between Towcester to Cosgrove, including Silverstone Brook and the Stoke Bruerne Marina. Move cars out of this flood risk area. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. Further light rainfall is forecast today and tomorrow which may keep levels high. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00am on Saturday 21st February 2026 or as the situation changes.
