Flood Warning

River levels have risen at the Drakelow river gauge as a result of heavy and persistent rainfall from Storm Dennis. Consequently, the flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected through today (17/02/20) and overnight.
The forecast is improving, with light and scattered showers expected over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning Tuesday 17/02/20, or as the situation changes.
