This Flood Warning has been removed. River levels in the River Trent have now fallen below the flood risk threshold. The Flood Warning for the area has been removed, but because of high levels in the Trent a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding may still affect roads and low-lying land. Please remain vigilant as a period of prolonged heavy rainfall is forecast from Monday evening, through until Thursday Morning 21/01/21. Patchy rainfall will start from this evening, Monday 18/01/21. Rainfall will become heavier overnight and into Tuesday. More persistent heavy rainfall is forecast into Wednesday, before clearing on Thursday morning, 21/01/21. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. We expect that the rainfall will cause the Trent to rise again and we will re-issue this flood warning if the warning threshold is predicted to be reached.
