River levels are high but steady at the Torksey river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding to low-lying agricultural land and roads remains. Areas most at risk are Church Laneham to Rampton Road, Collingham, Sutton on Trent, Church Laneham, North Clifton, Torksey and Lea.
Further rainfall is forecast for the next 72 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 08:00 tomorrow morning, 09/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
