River Trent at Caythorpe Flood warning 4:27pm, Friday 5th January 2024

Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Colwick river gauge as a result of Storm Henk. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Caythorpe, including Main Street and Caythorpe Road, near Moorfield Farm.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Sunday, 07/01/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
This message will be updated by 23:00 this evening, 05/01/24, or as the situation changes.
