River levels are rising at the Colwick river gauge as a result of Storm Henk. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are the access at Holme including Holme Village.
Further light rainfall is expected for the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until 06/01/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please turn off gas, electricity and water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 09:00 on 05/01/24, or as the situation changes.
