Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning. 
Flooding is expected from the morning of 09 February 2026 . 
Areas most at risk are Newark riverside properties on Coopers Yard, Tannery Wharf, Mill Street, Huddlestones Wharf, Navigation yard, Castle Gate, Mill Lane, Brewers Wharf and Mather Road. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Farndon Gauge will begin falling tomorrow afternoon, 09/02/26. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one .& move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. 
This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 09 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
