Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are peaking at the Great Haywood river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the last few days. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible today, Wednesday 03/01/2024 and tomorrow morning, Thursday 04/01/2024. Further showers are forecast over the next 12 hours, and as such river levels will remain high today, Wednesday 03/01/2024 and tomorrow, Thursday 04/01/2024. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday 04/01/2024 or as the situation changes.
