This flood warning has been issued due to the River Ure responding to the heavy rainfall that fell over the weekend. The level of the River Ure at Ripon Ure Bank is 3.73m and has peaked. However, levels are expected to remain high and further rain is expected. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
