Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain has fallen in the Welland catchment. This is causing the River Welland to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the afternoon. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties in Market Deeping to be affected from this evening onwards. Properties on High Street in Market Deeping are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 07/01/2025, or before if the situation changes.
