River levels on the Went have now peaked, and are now falling, and will continue to fall throughout today, 8/11/19, below levels of concern. There is no further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and river levels are returning to normal. The River Went flood alert remains in force for today.
We are closely monitoring the situation from the Leeds Incident Room which is still open. The Vacuna pumps are still operating. Please be aware that there may still be standing water and debris around so remain aware of your surroundings when in this area. If you have been affected by flooding call incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60.
