Wash Dike catchment

Warning no longer in force

River levels on Wash Dike peaked at Pontefract in the early hours of this morning, 16/02/20, at levels significantly below those seen during Storm Ciara. Levels have now fallen below the level of concern and the Flood Alert for this area has now been removed. Scattered showers are forecast for the first half of the week. We do not anticipate a significant river level response, but levels are expected to remain higher than average for at least the next two days. We continue to monitor the situation closely. Please see GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast, and for weather forecasts see the Met Office.
