Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain high on the River Wiske but are falling following heavy rainfall associated with Storm Isha and Jocelyn. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wiske, with low-lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties in Kirby Wiske. Showers are forecast in the coming days however levels are expected to continue falling on Thursday 25/01/24. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 15:30pm on Thursday 25/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
