River Wylye and tributaries Flood alert 10:30am, Sunday 1st March

Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

This is a flood alert update. River levels remain high due to the recent rainfall and the high ground water levels. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wylye, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Norton Ferris and Wilton. We are expecting some rain today but totals will be low. After today the forecast is for some dry weather through the week. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. Check local authority websites for road closures. This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on Monday 2nd March 2026 or as the situation changes.
