Flood warning

River levels are high but steady at the Kirkland Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains for the area to the north of the River Wyre downstream of Ainspool covering properties on Tarnacre Lane and Ainspool Lane.
We expect river levels to begin falling at 07:00 on 02/11/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near rivers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
