Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning.
River levels are rising on the River Yeo at Pen Mill gauge as a result of heavy overnight rainfall. Flooding is expected from 10:00 AM on 30/09/2024.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Yeo, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Yeovilton to Limington road.
Further flooding is expected this morning as river levels are rising due to heavy rainfall.
The weather is forecast is for drier and more settled conditions from Tuesday for a few days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking rivers for blockages. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Refer to local authority website for road closures. This message will be updated by 5 PM on 30/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
