Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 28 February 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including the Morrisons parks at Glenfield and Anstey. Low-lying land and farmlands in the Glenfield, Anstey, Sileby, Thurcaston, Rothley, Newtown Linford, Cropston, Swithland and Quorn areas are also at risk.
Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Glenfield gauge have peaked and remain steady, no further rise forecast. Levels will remain high until tomorrow afternoon, 01/03/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
