Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 01 March 2026. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including the Morrisons parks at Glenfield and Anstey. Low-lying land and farmlands in the Glenfield, Anstey, Sileby, Thurcaston, Rothley, Newtown Linford, Cropston, Swithland and Quorn areas are also at risk. River levels at the Glenfield gauge have peaked and are falling. Levels will remain high until this evening, 01/03/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 09:00AM on 02 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
