Flood warning

Storm Eunice is expected to bring severe gale force winds across the Bristol Channel early on Friday, coinciding with spring tides. We are expecting this to cause very large and powerful waves along the coast. Please avoid using coastal footpaths and roads. Forecast high water is 08:15 on 18/02/22 with a level of 7.43 mAOD and a Force 9 South Westerly wind. Conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Tmes are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, mAOD is height above average sea level for more detail refer to local tide tables.
We expect unsafe conditions from high wind and wave spray to affect the Severn Estuary from New Passage to the Severn View Industrial Park including low lying properties at New Passage and Shaft Road, Beach Road, Station Road and Riverside Park in Severn Beach. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our contractors have checked the current flood defence construction site and are on standby. We are liaising with emergency services and will update this message as the situation changes and new information is available.
