Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the evening of Saturday 24 October.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine, near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley. Roads between Maesbrook, Melverley and Pentre start to flood. Llanymynech peaked overnight at 4.28m and is now falling, river levels however remain high in this area.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 10:00AM on Monday 26 October or as the situation changes.
