Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but starting to fall slowly on the Shill Brook following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue through today, 25/11/2024, especially in the Mill Green road area. The forecast is predominantly dry today with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024). River levels are expected to continue to drop slowly today but remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week in response to forecast rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
