Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Rising river levels this morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.
Flooding is possible when river levels are at their highest from 9:04 AM on 29/08/2025.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Shuttle/ Cray, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around low lying land and roads along the river. / low lying land and roads along the River Shuttle particularly in and around Bexley.
Further rainfall is forecast this afternoon but no further flooding is expected.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
