Flooding expected. Take action now.
Following nearly a month’s rainfall over the past week and 20mm Thursday night, river levels are high and rising on the River Ouse. Flooding is expected from 09:00 20/12/2019. Locations to be affected will include Slaugham Place, Brantridge Lane, fields and rural roads in Ardingly, as well as Ardingly Shell Brook cottages. The widespread rain should clear from 09:00 20/12/2019, leaving a largely dry day Friday, apart from isolated showers. Widespread rain will return from 15:00 Saturday 21/12/2019. River levels will continue to rise until 14:00 20/12/2019, but further increases should be expected Saturday evening (21/12/2019) following the next band of rain. Please install flood protection products now, if you have them. We are monitoring levels and forecasts. We will update this message by 21:00 20/12/2019.
