Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Swindon river gauge as a result of rainfall associated with Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of property and farmland is expected this morning.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours and so river levels could continue to rise throughout this morning.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff were out checking defences and clearing screens on Saturday and will be back out this morning. We also continue to actively check river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger.
This message will be updated by 17:00 on 24/11/24, or as the situation changes.
