Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high but steady at the Swindon river gauge as a result of rainfall associated with Storm Bert. Consequently, the risk of flooding of property and farmland is expected to continue overnight.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been out checking defences and clearing screens on Sunday and will be back out tomorrow morning. We also continue to actively check river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger.
This message will be updated on 25/11/24, or as the situation changes.
