Flooding expected. Take action now.
Though the impact of the recent strong winds and spring tides is steadily reducing, flood risk remains for high water on Thursday 13/02/20. The high tide time is 09:30, with a forecast level of 7.3m AOD and a Force 5 Westerly wind. The tide time is local and refers to the high water at Hinkley Point. Flooding may occur about an hour either side of this time along the coastline between Quay West and The Warren including seafront properties on Culvercliffe Court, Quay West and Quay Street. Exposed sea front properties may be affected by changeable wind strength and direction. There is also a risk of beach shingle being thrown up onto the road alongside these properties. Please take care on beachside roads and paths. With Storm Dennis due to arrive on Saturday, 15/02/20, our incident response staff are monitoring coastal conditions closely. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued. This message will be updated tomorrow Thursday 13/02/20 or as the situation changes.
