Flooding expected. Take action now.
High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning.
Flooding is expected over the morning high tide on Tuesday 9th December.
Spray and wave overtopping of quaysides, harbours and low lying areas is expected to flood properties. Areas most at risk are Mousehole. High tide at Newlyn on Tuesday morning is at 07:30, times of high water will vary along the coast. The forecast total high tide level is 2.23mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be around 0.6m above tide table level. Strong force 8 southerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 5.0m are forecast.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
