Flood Warning in force: South Devon Coast at Torbay
Flooding is expected for: Exposed coastal areas are at risk from large waves and spray overtopping
Immediate action required.
High water at Teignmouth is at 19:45, times of High Water will vary along the coast. Strong South South Westerly winds up to Force 8 and offshore wave heights of up to 3.1m are forecast which may cause spray and wave overtopping of sea defences. Expect tides to be up to 530mm higher than predicted on tide tables.
People are advised to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast.
Environment Agency staff will continue to monitor tide levels, and issue updates as required.
Detailed tide information for those who use it: The forecast high tide level is 2.67 m AOD, this is 530mm above astronomical tide level. Wind speeds peak at south south west Force 8.
