Flooding expected. Take action now.
High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding this evening.
Flooding is expected from 07:30PM to 23:30PM on Friday.
Areas particularly at risk include Torquay - Torre Abby car park, Seafront road closed, Beach huts, Goodrington - Inn on the Quay and the Boat House. Beach huts, Brixham - Breakwater Café, Beesands, Torcross, Hallsands.
The high tide at Teignmouth on Friday is at 09:30PM, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.49mAOD, which is 0.83 metres above tide table level. Gale force 8 southeasterly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3.8m are forecast over the high tide.
Coastal conditions should ease after Saturday morning's high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
