Flood warning

Flooding is possible up to 3 hours either side of high tide tonight, Wednesday 18 February.
Coastal conditions for Wednesday evening's and Thursday morning's high tides are expected to be less hazardous than those experienced during Wednesday morning's high tide, especially at Torcross. Coastal conditions are forecast to continue easing throughout the rest of the week.
Recent storms have increased the risk of wave overtopping at Torcross. We advise avoiding exposed areas due to expected flooding and wave spray containing debris. The A379 Slapton Line beyond Torcross car park towards Dartmouth is closed.
Tidal forecast are for high water at Teignmouth at 7:30PM Wednesday 18 February, water level 2.33mAOD, which is 0.52 metres above tide table level. Northerly wind speed 5 is forecast, with an offshore wave height of over 1.3m.
