Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High tides over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Thursday morning.
Areas particularly at risk include communities within the Kingsbridge, Dart and Teign estuaries.
The high tide at Plymouth on Thursday morning is at 08:00am, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 3.02mAOD, which is 0.58 metres above tide table level.
Force 4 southerly winds and offshore wave heights over 2.3m are forecast over the high tide.
Coastal conditions should ease for Thursday evening's high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
