Flood alert

High tides, strong winds and large waves overnight may lead to flooding.
Highest tide level is expected to be at Warton, Carnforth, Crag Bank, Bolton-le-Sands, Hest Bank, Bare, Torrisholme, Great Hestham and Heysham Harbour at 2:15 AM on 23/08/2024. Flooding is possible 3 hours either side of this time.
Waves are forecast to overtop coastal defences at Warton, Carnforth, Crag Bank, Bolton-le-Sands, Hest Bank, Bare, Torrisholme, Great Hestham and Heysham Harbour.
Coastal conditions are expected to improve tomorrow afternoon and no flooding is expected.
Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
