This message has been issued because some flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely to continue today and overnight. River levels are beginning to drop, but will remain responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are Spring Row, the Football ground, Cardinals Road, Crown Street, Pound Lane, Bond Street, Regent Street, Station Road, Prentice Road, Needham Road Industrial Estate in Stowmarket. The forecast is for no significant rainfall over the next few days, which will allow river levels to start returning to normal. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message tomorrow, Sunday 22nd October 2023.
