Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast weather conditions during coming tides.
Areas most at risk include Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton.
The detailed tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth of 8.13 mAODN at 9:15 AM on 13/03/2024, which is 0.28 m above tide tables, with south-westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.)
We are closing locks and flood gates in the area. We will continue to monitor levels closely.
Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
