Flooding expected. Take action now.
This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected tomorrow morning on 09/04/2024 at 08:30am. Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides. This flood warning is not for tonight’s tide 08/04/2024.
The detailed tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth of 8.26 mAODN at 8:30 AM on 09/04/2024, which is 0.57 m above tide tables, with westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.)
Waves are forecast to overtop coastal defences at Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton.
We are closing locks and flood gates in the area. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. After this tide‚ the weather is more settled and no further impacts are expected.
