Flooding expected. Take action now.
Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast. First forecast high water is 20:45 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.56 mAOD and a Force 6 South Westerly wind. Second forecast high water is 09:00 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.49 mAOD and a Force 6 West South Westerly wind. Times are local and refer to high water time at Avonmouth but impacts may be two hours either side of the high tide. We believe there will be flooding for low lying roads and a possibility for flooding to low lying property along the River Avon from Sea Mills to Conham including Sea Mills Road, The Portway, Cumberland Basin, Commercial Road, Bathurst Basin, Clarence Road, Albert Road, Central Trading Estate and Crews Hole Road. Peak levels will be higher than the tide this morning, 11/03/20. Our staff are closing flood gates. Take care along beaches, promenades and roads as large waves can be dangerous. Please install property flood resilience equipment. This message will be updated on 12/03/20.
