Flooding expected. Take action now.
This Flood Warning has been issued due to the high tide forecast at 10:00 PM on 24/11/2023.
Flooding is expected at locations nearest the estuary, in particular around Lower Upnor, Canal Road Strood and outer parts of the Medway Estuary from 08:00 PM on 24/11/2023.
After this tide‚ the weather is more settled and no further impacts are expected.
Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences, and we will continue to monitor levels closely.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 25/11/2023, or as the situation changes.
