Flooding expected. Take action now.
Exceptionally high spring tides, a large tidal surge and strong winds are expected to affect the locality of the tidal River Parrett.
The time and date of the forecast high water is 21:00 on 30/09/2019. The forecast tide level is 7.34m AOD. The forecast wind strength and direction is Force 5 west south westerly.
Please note all tide times are in local time and are using the 24 hour clock and refer to the high water time at Hinkley.
Flooding to properties is possible at these times, however conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide.
There is a possibility of flooding for low lying areas on the tidal River Parrett including Manley Gardens and East Quay.
Our incident response staff are checking defences and closely monitoring the situation.
