Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Heavy rainfall over the weekend has caused river levels to rise. High river levels are expected today, Tuesday 7 January 2025 at Fordwich and Grove Ferry. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected. The peak of the tide is expected to coincide with high river levels around 6pm Tuesday 7 January 2025. Stonar Cut is being operated to reduce levels.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 7pm on Tuesday 7 January 2025, or as the situation changes. It may be necessary to re-issue this alert to coincide with the next high tide
