Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected over the high tides on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. High water at Ilfracombe on Wednesday at 19:30 and Thursday at 07:45, times of high water will vary along the coast. Conditions apply two hours either side of high tide. Force 7 west south west winds and offshore wave heights of 4.5m are forecast. This may cause localised property flooding and standing water on roads. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on the local radio. We are monitoring the situation and will update this information on Thursday morning or if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; the forecast high tide level on Wednesday evening is 5.61 mAOD and 5.58 mAOD on Thursday morning; this is 0.53 metres and 0.37 metres above astronomical tide level.
