Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are rising on the River Wharfe downstream of Tadcaster as a result of recent rainfall associated with Storm Jocelyn. Areas most at risk include the Tidal River Wharfe downstream of Tadcaster, with low-lying land expected to be most affected. Further rainfall is forecast in the next few days which will keep levels high. Plan driving routes to avoid roads between Tadcaster and Cawood that are affected by flooding. We will continue to monitor river levels. This message will be updated by 9:00PM on Wednesday 24/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
