Forecast rising river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 02 May 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying roads and land around the brooks in Leicester City, including recreational land where water depths could become hazardous. Areas particularly at risk include those around the Braunstone Brook, Lubbesthorpe Brook, Melton Brook, Saffron Brook, Willow Brook, Bushby Brook, Evington Brook, Thurnby Brook and Scraptoft Brook. Rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels at Leicester Braunstone Avenue Gauge may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment
