Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

This Flood Alert has been issued due to the high tide forecast on the Tweed Estuary tomorrow morning, 16/11/2024.

Tides will be at their highest at 02:45 AM on 16/11/2024 with wave overtopping possible during these times. High tide conditions can apply two to four hours either side of a high tide.

Areas most at risk include low lying land, roads and footpaths in Berwick between Bridges.

Further flooding is possible during Sunday morning’s high tide due to higher than normal tides.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Please be careful along riverside footpaths and low lying land and roads as high water levels, large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 16/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
